Shocked by the cost of your insurance renewal premium?

Don't have a heart attack - you can save a fortune online!

Relax, there is much cheaper insurance out there! All you need to do id ditch that same old insurer you've been paying excessive premiums to for years, and change to a different company and if you pick the right company you'll not only get a great discount for signing on, but another discount just for buying online! Are they mad?

Onve upon a time we were all rewarded for our loyalty and customers who stayed with the same insurer year after year could look forward to no-claims discounts rising and rising and premiums falling and falling. Not any more. The accountants have decided that there is more money to be made by giving the low prices to new customers instead for the simple reason that most of us are content with a quiet life so we just allow our direct debits to snatch the premiums from us year after year without so much as a murmer of protest. Ask us to change suppliers though and it's a whole different ballgame - the insurance companies have to woo us with huge discounts to get us to overcome our natural inertia so that's exactly what they are doing! One we've been seduced by a big introductory discount the theory is that we'll lapse back to sleep, paying the next (greatly increased) renewal premium without a murmur .....

There is a new type of customer now though - the serial switcher. This person doesn't accept any renewal quote without first going online and seeing if there is a better price to be had elsewhere and usually, yep, there certainly is! This type of customer can save save hundreds, perhaps even thousands of pounds in a single year by being more canny and more prepared to swop and change suppliers regularly, buying insurance products like home insurance, car insurance and life insurance from online discount sites. dAre you going to join them? Or are you happy paying for their discounts out of your inflated renewal premium? The choice is yours.
